Park management still await news from ECB on Extension of Pavilion Project

Fantastic weather gave the Golfers a great day whilst proving to be a great fundraiser

144 golfers –including many “irregular ones” find the rough tough and balls get wet!

The Parks 13th Golf Day had great support from the LPCC Team of helpers –Chairman Robert & Martin on Putting comp. Maurice & George on Sec.Desk,

 Nigel /Banana man & Snapper, Phil juggling the balls, Margaret & Sheila ensconced in the half way house i/c sausage rolls etc. & Peter –well just hanging out before depositing his drive on the 1st into bushes.

Results 1ST Place team led by Pete Williamson, 2nd –Jason France, 3rd David Searby, 4th Paul Shaw, 5th Malcolm Milne.  Longest Drive – Chris Lupton,

 Nearest Pin –David Searby, Putting Comp.- Johnny Sutton. Plus 11 players win balls in 2s Club.

The obligatory Gammon & Egg+ Apple Pie/Custard went down well after the 5 hour round.

Is it true Phil the ball juggler fell asleep whilst on duty on the 18th –was the lager?

“Parks Peacocks” favouring our grass seed as Anthony tempts his birds back to sanctuary with some difficulty.

Many favourable comments made by visitors over the completed scoreboard project –as our gardener gives it the finishing touches.

Latest Seat thanks to our scorer Len, takes up residency at pavilion front – as attendances grow!!

Hanging Baskets & Tubs complete the scene to create a great environment

Under 15s Manager Les has a habit of leaving his clothing around the East Riding cricket grounds!!  

1st X1 remain unbeaten & 2nds go into top half of league –what a start with 70 points lead between 1st & 3rd place in Div.3 for our 1st Team –more details lower..

Captain Charles has a “Huddle” @Rowntrees– to great effect on players – says our Post correspondent – guess the words….

Ground staff working overtime with up to 9 teams playing weekly at the Park

Are the lines straight on outfield cut or is the “Apprentice” awaiting a call from our Chairman to say, “You’re Fired”.  & Put that flashing light off ….

But …Chairman of Ground staff is taken to task on his ground markings on pitch!!

Gregg Drewery & Eddie Salmon to play for E.Yorks. Lords Taverners U.13s

Gregg Drewery has been invited to the final trial for Yorkshires U.12 s – Good Luck

William Stephenson , Nathan Saltmer, James Hanley& Stephen Croft have all played for E.Yorks U.11s District Team.
