Season
2011
End of
season update
"Finished in a very creditable 4th
place in the first season of the Y&DJCA ‘Hard Ball’ division; losing
only 2 of their 8 matches. The under 11s really came to the fore however
in the Hard Ball Cup Final with a well earned victory over Sheriff
Hutton Bridge." Next Years Coach and Junior Coordinator George
Drewery
The
Park's under 11s enjoyed a successful season in the York League winning
4 of their games and losing only to York by 3 runs and Acomb. In
addition they played a number of friendly matches to ensure all 23 of
the squad members experienced match cricket.
The
season's highlight was the cup competition as victories against Selby
and Acomb set up a final encounter against league champions Sheriff
Hutton Bridge in which the team played their best cricket of the season
to gain victory by 30 runs.
Congratulations to coaches Phil and Neil Stephenson who move on to take
charge of the under 13s next season.
